 . Monarch Butterfly Grove
The "Butterfly Trees" of Pismo Beach are one of our most beloved attractions From late October through February, thousands of colorful Monarch butterflies cluster in the limbs of Eucalyptus and Monterey Pines in the area, giving the appearance of yellow and orange leaves. They travel over the Sierra Mountains and west of the Rockies.  Some come from as far away as Canada to escape the colder temperatures of the north.

. Wine Tasting
A short drive East on Price Canyon Road takes you to more than a dozen picturesque  wineries, tasting rooms and winery gift shops in Edna and Arroyo Grande Valleys   Travel along beautiful scenic coastal roads and enjoy and tour 25 wineries. Talley Vineyards, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery in Arroyo Grande are the closest to Pismo Beach.

. Golf
Try out a new set of woods on one of area's world-class golf courses.Cypress Ridge, Black Lake and the Avila Beach Golf Resort are within minutes of Pismo Beach. Pismo Beach even has it's own 9 hole executive course at Pismo State Park.

. Hearst Castle
This premiere "must see" visitor attraction is one of the most popular destinations in  California. There are four tours daily and the 55 mile drive from Pismo Beach alone  is worth the trip. Tour Reservations: 800-444-4445.

 . Mineral Springs
At nearby Avila Beach there are naturally heated mineral springs where you can swim in the pool or take a hot mineral bath. Sycamore and Avila Hot Springs are two of the  best mineral springs still operating in California.

. Historic San Luis Obispo
San Luis Obispo County is on the beautiful California Central Coast halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Nestled among lush rolling hills and shadowed  by ancient volcanic peaks San Luis Obispo is rich in history, architecture and small town friendliness. Founded in 1772, the town began as Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa,  the fifth in a family of 21 California missions.
